Kids Stuff for Big Sam: Blackburn Rovers Boss Teaches Youngsters at Barclays IFA
Some of our luckier members received coaching tips from a special personality last week when Blackburn Rovers manager, Sam Allardyce, came to Dubai.
He spent an hour or so at Jumeirah Beach Hotel putting the winners of the under 10's competition through their paces as excited parents and even more excited coaches looked on. The man better known as 'Big Sam' in the English premiership said
"This isn't work for me. Young kids are a pleasure and are always better to train than senior players, they are excitable and I really enjoy working with them"

He added,
"you are very fortunate to have a climate like this to develop any sportspersons, particularly footballers. For the kids it's a great opportunity to enjoy themselves and learn some techniques as they go along".
Barclays IFA must thank Richard Corrigan, Nathan's dad, who said
"It's a great experience. The Barclays IFA do a great job and when they get someone like Sam to come along its even better".
Jacquline Cracknel, Talan's mum, added
"To have someone like Sam down is a one off experience. This is a highlight for any nine-year old".
